Pictory: best for repurposing written content

Pictory converts scripts, URLs, articles, PDFs and PowerPoint files into videos, with text-based editing, auto-captions and ElevenLabs voices. Starter is $25/month billed yearly with videos up to 30 minutes; Professional ($35/month yearly) adds custom avatars and 20 GB storage. Its 14-day trial includes 3 videos at 720p with Pictory branding. Pictory states it does not refund paid subscriptions, so use the trial first.

DeeVid AI: cheapest for image-to-video clips

DeeVid focuses on generating clips from images or text, with 100+ templates and effects. Lite costs $10/month (200 credits, about 40 videos at 720p); Pro is $25/month (600 credits, 1080p). Paid videos have no watermark and commercial use is allowed. DeeVid states that purchases are not refundable.

How to choose

Steve AI is another option for animated explainer videos, but its pricing page currently shows conflicting plan prices, so we have left it out of the table until it is clearer.
